What a Great option for Linux to make. What if you could re-install Linux without creating a new /home?
That’s already possible.

More info, please. My mistake, but it looked like on each install of Mint it wanted 3 files defined. Root, swap, and Home.
Yes, of course it wanted /home defined, how else would the installer know where to find the old /home from a previous installation?
Apparently you can even use the old /home without creating a dedicated partition for it. Although, I would still recommend the latter way, to be safe.
This procedure works on all major Linux derivatives since many years. I think the last time I did such thing was about 10 years ago.
