Recommended external hard drives for backup?

I am looking to backup my NextcloudPi - any recommendations for reliable 1 or 2 T external HD??
Thank you

I suppose any advice on what i should take in consideration would also be welcomed.

I personnally use a
WD My Book 25EE (4004)
that was given to me.

As long as you don’t buy them at Wish… you should be fine with any major brand.

Personally, I never had any issues with Seagate drives.

As @Mina said, any major brand should do the job.

I personally like to use the ones from WD’s MyBook series. They are pretty cheap, but also reliable, especially if you go beyond 8TB capacity per drive.

thank you
that’s great

Hey @Sherab welcome to you from all of us :slightly_smiling_face:

I bought this from a local shop but available everywhere and works with gnulinux free software so should be okay with all distros. It surprised me how fast file transfers can be.

Box says USB 3.0 but it is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and works just great with all my computers.

Thank you for your welcoming @Andy2
