Shenzhen goodix fingerprint reader driver not available for Ubuntu

I have a Dell Vostro 3480 laptop which was recently purchased. I initially installed windows 10 in it and there were no issues with drivers in it. Being a supporter of copyleft movement and open source softwares, I wanted to explore Ubuntu so i recently installed Ubuntu 20.04 in this system. Everything works fine apart from the fact that Ubuntu is not recognising my Fingerprint reader. The details of the driver are as follows :
Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. Fingerprint Reader
Vendor Id : 0x27c6
Product id : 0x5301

Please help me find the required driver or if there is a way to use the windows 10 driver in ubuntu.

can you explain what you tried to get the device working and if you received any error messages?

I tried almost every basic thing available on internet to get the driver for the device. I also installed Fingerprint GUI but even that isnt working.
