(Solved) Here's a question I wager has no solution

I have a raspberry pi 3 B+ that I play a web browser game that is giving me issues that I was instructed to supply a screen shot to troubleshoot. I tried but there doesn’t seem to be a way to capture a screen shot on this raspberry pi. I can see if I can download a program that allows that but I don’t know what it is called. PLEASE, Who can help me?

i know it isn’t the exact answer you asked for, but is it possible to take a phone (or digital camera or tablet?) picture if a screenshot isn’t possible? i have a de bug on my laptop that disables screenshot and had to resort to a phone pic in order to post in the appropriate forum. it isn’t necessarily as sleek or pretty, but it was what i had to work with

I’m not fast enough to use my phone for a screen capture that lasts 1 to 2 seconds. But thanks for the suggestion.

Long shot - what about using a screen recorder?

I did an online search and was told to download a program called Scrot. I did so and I can now get a screenshot. Problem solved.

Scrot appears to be the answer and here is a user guide to it
