@Gary
There was a windmill farm constructed. a few months, ago in our area, the windmills have not been turning for months now, a waste of time and money!!!
I guess you know the culprit.
Our local windfarm consists of one mill with a broken blade. Been like that for maybe 10 years.
The owners apparently gave up and replaced it with a set of solar panels.
It would seem these modern wind turbines can not operate in high winds… they need to be turned off to protect them from damage
BTW does anyone know why the traditional windmill design for pumping water was not used for generating electricity?
Hi Neville
Can’t answer that but found a site that briefly explains wind energy though the ages.
Whether this is true or not, I’ve no idea.
I have a good idea, at least they are not electric school buses!!!
Correct, they are pilotless electric passenger jets.
These things can be a problem even before being commissioned
Fix is simple. Get a long ladder and climb up there with a battery operated hair dryer and thaw that thing.
Its heaps easier to stop at a petrol pump.
