Hello friends
Please, could you share your experience about how did you do the training process to reach Linux certification? - by yourself or somewhere (online academy)? And pls, indicate me all your resources, such as Web and books. I don’t care if I must read 20 books. Yes I know practice and experience is critical, but I want have all the big picture.
Thanks for your understanding
There are several institutions offering linux training and each country is different plus the price.
I did some training on line with
Also
But its now some 10 years ago so not up to date on costs or suitability.
There is also the possibilities to do a course at furter education local to you rather than online.
All depends on what you want from the training and where you plan to go next, for job skills and personal development or just to be aware of the linux system.
Beware of high priced rip off courses or certificates that you pay for and have no value in the real world.
I used to teach in university in the uk and did courses in unix, dos and apple system. My degree gets me in the door for jobs on educational level but on a practical front there are many technicians whose practical knowledge knock me for six, but it would not get them in the door.
A long time back there was the european driving license for computer users, it was the thing everybody needed as a standard, exams by british computer society so a good standard… but the database test if you just pressed escape at the end of each question you passed the exam, so no value. My students discovered it much to the amusing reply why the all passed faster than me.
Luckily I dont need to job hunt so no difference for me.
Buy a good book, subscribe to this site, try to get practical experiance as well as back it up with exams.

I did forget to mention
Youtube and video tutorial

For some an image says a thousand words.
Issues with youtube content can be, the voice of the presenter, the adverts that come on now more than tv breaks, no formal qualifications at the end, reproducing the files needed to really follow by doing.

Really huge thanks for the feedback. A cold beer to you
About YouTube, with the add blockers, no more propaganda … And I am going to do a research for complete playlists specific about certification
Thank You
