There used to be distrotest.net., and it was real linux.
It seems to have disappeared.
There were several such offering in the past. Unfortunately, offering VMs like this for free is not financially viable, so such websites close down over time.
It would be a nicer world if we could do things because they were good, rather than because they make money.

I understand the sentiments.
The online distro testing tools most probably deploy a vm quickly on one of the cloud servers they use. And they have to pay for the cloud server’s usage. If the tool gets popular and more people start using it, they will have a bigger bill to pay. Without some sort of revenue model in the picture, the service won’t sustain to run for longer period of time.
