Just playing with different screens, ok its not real linux and commands may not work etc… but could be a useful too when i try to demo linux to clients try before you buy idea
There used to be distrotest.net., and it was real linux.
It seems to have disappeared.

There were several such offering in the past. Unfortunately, offering VMs like this for free is not financially viable, so such websites close down over time.

I understand the sentiments.
The online distro testing tools most probably deploy a vm quickly on one of the cloud servers they use. And they have to pay for the cloud server’s usage. If the tool gets popular and more people start using it, they will have a bigger bill to pay. Without some sort of revenue model in the picture, the service won’t sustain to run for longer period of time.
