I’m a Parrot OS user looking to build two cybersecurity distros. As a novice, I need guidance on the process, prerequisites, tools, and recommended OS (like should I use Windows with VM or Linux).
Is there a tutorial or resource that can help me get started? Any advice from experienced distro builders would be greatly appreciated.

Making a distro is a huge job. Maintaining it is another huge job.
I would try making “spin” first. ie a modified existing distro.
You can practice with Gentoo or LFS. You will need compiling skills.
