Ubuntu 20.04 fails in using external 5GB Seagate USB drive

The disk is formated in ntfs format. Very often the system do not mount (recognizes) the drive. The problem temporaly desapears after a mounting the drive in a Windows system. Even somtimes “gpart” determines that not any filesysmtem is in the drive. There is a particular driver that has to be used with this Seagate disk?

Isn’t 5GB a bit too small?
