Ubuntu 22.04 Is it worth upgrading and would it work on Lenovo Idea Pad 145 API 15

As per Abhishek’s advice which said that on Lenovo Idea Pad 145 API 15 only Ubuntu 20.04 LTS version could be installed, I did that and it is working fine. Now Ubuntu 22.04 version is available. My query is will it work on my Laptop and above all it is worth upgrading?

  1. Take at least one complete backup of everything.
  2. Try it out yourself. Only you can tell, whether it’s worth it.

Which Abishek advice? Do you have a link to the article?

I was running Ubuntu 22.04 okay on my Thinkpad (E495 Ryzen 5 with Vega 8 APU/GPU)- worked fine… but ended up formatting and trying out Fedora 35 then 36…

No idea about your hardware…

I used 22.04 on my ideapad 145s with absolutely no issues. In fact, I’m using 23.04 now. Lenova laptops have worked well with Ubuntu.

22.04 is an LTS release, which means it’ll get support for a bunch of years yet. I’d recommend this version if you want something stable that pretty much just works.
