Using nslookup to find ip addresses on a network using gateway

Anyone know if there’s actually a way to make it do this? Like if my gateway was 192.168.1.1 and I wanted it to list all IPs on that gateway, could you do that kind of thing?

I don’t know of a way for nslookup to do that.

Is this to get a list of all clients on the network?

That would be a good use for nmap.

ah forgot about nmap. Thanks for reminding me

What he said - that, and “arp -a” (sometimes you need sudo with arp) are the tools I use… 'cause it’s a PITA to have to fire up another browser tab and look at the DHCP leases on my wifi router (which doesn’t give much information anyway)…

If you’re running avahi / zeroconf / bonjour - you can also use avahi-browse on linux - but that gives TOO MUCH information (and one of my iPads is VERY shouty!)
