Why do people even bother using Wine?

I am strictly speaking about modern Windows operating systems. I literally don’t care if it works on Windows below version 10 (Yes, I don’t even care about Windows 8.1. I just had included it earlier out of generosity. Technically, Windows 8.1 shouldn’t even be talked about, anymore.). Literally a waste of time to even think about it. Just use Windows 10 or up.

Just like Linux does not run everything, neither does W10. Some of my old XP games will only run on XP or W7, and a VM will not run them, so I keep an install of XP on one machine and a install of W7 on my other machine. So, I for one do not and will not run Wine just to run an Windows application, I will leave that for the seasoned Linux users.

Where are you getting a third party? Activation is a program within Windows, and nowhere
do I give out my phone number, I call Microsoft and respond accordingly.

I’ll translate these sentences into simpler terms:

Where are you getting a third party from? You just call a third party to activate a program. There is no third party involved, when I call a third party to activate the software at hand.

Please, tell me which games precisely do only run on a genuine XP installation, which is not in a VM or through different methods.
