Zoom client is teeny tiny

Ubuntu 20.10
Zoom client, version unknown
but downloaded latest zoom_amd64.deb from https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/204206269-Installing-or-updating-Zoom-on-Linux#h_89c268b4-2a68-4e4c-882f-441e374b87cb
and from https://zoom.us/download?os=linux

When running the zoom client on my laptop the screens are teeny, as if they came from a snap installation. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? I have deleted/reinstalled it, no fix.

The newest Ubuntu sometimes sneaks in Snap, where you don’t expect and don’t want it.

I think I may have solved my problem using the deductive principle of throw-mud-on-the-wall:
edit home>.config>zoomus.conf
set autoScale=true
