I’ll take a look. I tried Mint+ XFCE and it worked great live, but wouldn’t install for some reason. On Kubuntu, I could watch a video for less than a minute before crashing. On Mint (without even installing it!), I watched for an hour with only tiny glitches every 4 - 5 minutes.

OK, try the Xfce iso.
The live usb has username demo password demo
I am not sure if antiX has a videoplayer installed …you may have to install one… the password for root user is root in the live usb.
The live iso does not have persistence.

antiX has a small footprint …it might perform better in your device.
