Anyone in crisis with regards to Mozilla's recent "terms of service"?

It seems that Google might not be able to send funds to Mozilla sometime later down this year. Plus, USAID might not be sending more of its millions to the Mozilla Foundation either.

So, are the days ahead, the final ones for Firefox?

Do you have any reliable references for those claims?
You’ve seen the following topic on here where this ToS is discussed I guess…

I’ve been using Falkon since it was Qupzilla, fiddled about with preferences, but have found it fine

Not me… I only use Firefox for one purpose… For work… I also have a Windows “portable exe” of an ancient version that still supports flash : for work…

I mostly use Brave - I have ethical reservations about the founder of Brave - but I don’t think they make any money off me - I have most of their “Brave” stuff turned off (Rewards, blah blah blah)…

But I also use Google Chrome - 'cause Google Maps / Streets works better here than any other browser…

I couldn’t be arsed trying to setup my workflow in any other browsers - sync works for me in Chrome, Brave and Firefox… aint switching any time soon…

I use multiple computers with multiple O/S - mostly Pop!_OS, but also Debian (Raspbian) and MacOS - integration of sync across all three works with those three browsers and I couldn’t be arsed trying something new - I’m too lazy…

Missed that topic, sorry.

Tom, of “Switched to Linux” has spoken about ToS and many others.

With all the various changes Mozilla Foundation has made to it in recent days… is it really defined now? If privacy policy is changed, are there options to keep Firefox from selling our data? Protest on social media?

i think we can afford to wait and see.
There are plenty of alternative browsers if the need arises.

can you ever be that certain about anything internet service provider?
I think it is best to frequently review what settings have been set on or off in Firefox Privacy and Security settings as a result of the possibility of any “silent” update so as to be as certain as you can be in the hope that your wishes are being respected by the provider but to all intents and purposes, I strongly still believe that FF and Mozilla do respect my wishes but I am less certain about Google and Chrome based browsers which I tend to avoid where possible.

Keeping eyes open on alternatives.

Ladybird has been occasionally mentioned:

Fact that Protonmail is supportive of it, gives me confidence.

Always good to have second and even third browser handy.

Well at least Ladybird is independent and different, including a new web-engine written from scratch.
