How to add virtual desktops in KDE

I created this post so as not to put an off-topic post in the
Anyone daily drive KDE? topic.

Hi @berninghausen,
Jimmy (@Akatama) and Cane (@TrekJunky) are right: I had to set up at least 2 virtual desktops to get the virtual desktops switcher icon (widget) on the panel.

These are the steps I took to add the virtual desktops ( I’m using KDE Plasma 5.27.8):

  • Open System Settings (Application Laucher → System Settings):

  • Select the Workspace Behavior:

  • Select the Virtual Desktops and click the Add button to add the virtual desktops:

The icon (widget) for switching virtual desktops in the panel is only visible if you have at least 2 virtual desktops.

I hope you manage to add the virtual desktops.
If you have any questions, just ask, and we’ll try to help.

Thank you @Tech_JA

Moved it to Tutorials and Resources because I think it’s the more appropriate category.
