I keep learning new things about Garuda Linux!

Thanks Ernie,
Hopefully the new releases will have something.

And to think I dual-boot Windows 11 Pro 25H2 with Garuda Mokka Linux, which by the way defaults to btrfs - a filesystem I’ve come to appreciate recently when its snapshot feature saved my bacon following an interrupted update - power failure!

Wow! @4dandl4, no need for being offended that others dislike Windows! I like and use both Windows 11 Pro 25H2 and Garuda Mokka Linux, dual-booted on all my PCs because I get satisfaction from both; for example I always get a charge when I find a way to overcome some artificial limitation or unwanted ‘feature’ Microsoft has imposed on users. That’s because I prefer to overcome rather than bitch when I encounter something I dislike there.

Do not know how you came to that assumption, but I could really care less as to what cat-man runs on that mobo!! Look at the specs, it plainly states W10 or W11, and with a up to date Nvidia card? That board was never meant for Linux, do not care how many distros cat-man uses!!

Ofcourse you care since you cant stop posting answers about it

You’re welcome! My only regret is that we couldn’t find a solution that could work for you because if you hadn’t had such difficulties, you may have really enjoyed using Garuda when installed on bare metal,

I may regret posting this, but not many computers are built for linux. Most are supplied with either windows 11 now and 10 before and 7, 8 etc before that. OR they are built for a Mac OS version. But if you have an older computer it may notrun the newer version

For me linux is built to run on more things older that windows fails on. Some versions are more suitable for more platforms and by that I am thinking debian based such as mint, ubuntu etc

Given the interaction and offers of help that did not work, my reaction early on was Mint but that was pushed aside to try to fix the problem

If you buy a computer, printer, mouse etc most just say works with windows

There is nothing to stop me running Linux on a very capable computer. It is used on supercomputers almost universally.

I know modern PC’s are designed for Win, but that does not preclude other uses.

Yes Paul i agree with you most computers are build around windows and yes my computer came with windows 11 home at least here in Sweden i dont know any computer store that offers linux wich is a shame. And yes my computer was build for windows 11 in mind but that does not mean i have to use windows and most distrors i tried have accepted my hardware and graphics .

That will improve with time.

I think so to. now Linux start to evolve fast so it will run on most hardware soon

After the updated ISOs are released, you may want to try running the live system to be sure it boots correctly but note that a live ISO image takes longer to load and runs a bit slower than a system on bare metal because a USB drive’s access time is considerably slower than your NVMe drives. Then if the ISO boots OK, I suggest you install Garuda in a virtual machine so you can use it for a while without changing anything you have working well for you to see if you like it enough that you want to switch.
