3D printer setup has not been performed correctly and may cause errors in the future.
I don’t know how I can help you do the right setup.
If you want, I can make a video demonstrating how to set up the printer, but possibly there must be some error during the copy & paste of the commands.

The correct command is:
sudo gpasswd -a $USER dialout
I made this mistake of omitting ‘sudo’ nano’ when tried to follow the procedure of the Mattercontrol website. Unfortunately, I have done both as your tutorial and the website with no success. I even changed the format on the sudo nano rules by typing them horizontally with no breakup. I can say that I tried everything. I think that MatterControl is not updated for my cheap type of machine but only market brands.

So far, I’ve tried to activate one of the printers ( the Prusai3). My next move is trying with the other one I made which is a Prusa Mendel with platform Melzi 2.00 Ardentissimo. I have a hunch that this second one is going to work. I will follow with all the information that you kindly provided me and hopefully I’m going to have good news soon.
