If you want to persist with Boxes, have a look at this
In the Install section, there are 2 packages you may need to add to make Boxes work
I think they have not got its dependencies right in some distros.
I had the same trouble as you, until I installed these extra packsges. @Rosika had no trouble and did not need to install extra packages ?
