Its strange what an update can do

The log says errors with Wayland and qt. Most probably the kwin is not installed or there’s some error in it’s install. Try to install kwin. I’m not sure if your update made a switch from Xorg to Wayland.

Note… it says problems with certificates… some downloads will fail.
I would not waste time trying to fix it. Go back to last working version and wait

I stand corrected, thanks Neville! I just saw it and wayland  Maybe because I’ve had issues with some old software which was on qt5 and my system is on qt6

I know what could happened (it happened in Ubuntu). when you do an update of the packages you are not releasing the old packages

In Fedora I always use:

sudo dnf update
sudo dnf clean all <-- run this rigth now

The problem is when your ssd is running out of space and is not possible load the GUI
Once free some space all work fine. I have this experience twice in two different machines.

HTH

Pls, share the Fedora’s URL here too

I never heard of such (and doubt) a requirement.

But of course, it’s the user’s or admin’s obligation to check the free space on the system disk before any update.

Like i said i installed it on a 1 tb nvme ssd disk so there was plenty of room. And even after a fresh install it was the same

So time to distro hop? I have never used Fedora. It feels wrong to be a tester for a big tech company.
