Ubuntu hp black screen + no action at all

Hello,

I just bought a HP Zbook G3, I removed windows and install Ubuntu 20.04, then I installed additional drivers for Nvidia, once I rebooted it, it was ok, the second time I got a black screen from the beginning couldn’t do anything at all.

Pleaaaase help

I upgraded my ubuntu to 20.04 3 data ago and all was fine till today. I was trying to open ubuntu and after hitting at selection prompt, it tried to load ubuntu but ended with black screen. I seen a post on similar issue by adding nomodeset at linux line after E to edit the grub but it did not work for me. I am stuck and urgent hint will be really appreciated? fipoucat

In fact, I reinstalled and now struggling to do the same for models and other softwares I was using.

@fipoucat How did you reinstall, for me I do not have the bios to choose usb or dvd to boot from !!!

I used a dvd in my case and it worked fine. I did not have the option reinstall but remove and install.
