Unable to create new database

I recently had a clean installation due to this problem i posted a few days back, I was able to access PHPMyAdmin and create a new database and do everything, as for now I installed LAMP again on my Ubuntu 18.04 but when I try to access localhost/phpmyadmin under create Database it says

No Privileges

I tried to log in with root but my it won’t let me in even though I have the correct user name and password.

How can I resolve this issue as I need to install WordPress for testing?

It’s very strange… I already add a category and a tag for your thread but the icon to mark as solved doesn’t show
