What music do you listen to?

I quit listening to radio stations that played new music in 1985 because more than half the songs just ticked me off. Hated the rap. I may have missed out on some good stuff, but I bet I caught most of it.

I like some rock but it’s leaning towards pop. Much of what I listen to is more easy listening.

America, Bread, Carpenters, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Foreigner, Genesis, Heart, …

I am the same. Greatest hits radio music from my youth. The other day my wife complained that we never listen to new music or the french radio, so to please her I tried a local station, after 1 hour of continual adverts for different things, 4 pièces of music, she said change Chanel, so we tried a national radio station, the music was the same but yet more talk and more adverts…… thankfully we have gone back in time and i proved my point. Currently a string of motown classic !

I go golfing with my son quite a bit and several years ago we drove about an hour to golf. I always drive and we normally listen to my oldies, which he does like. He normally listens to country but also some of today’s pop. I thought I’d be nice and let him choose the radio station and he didn’t choose country. About 20 minutes down the road I asked if the same song had been playing the whole time or not. I honestly couldn’t tell. It all sounded the same to me.

That would have been my choice in my youth.
36 deg C here today, and expected same tomorrow.
Music that cools would be a welcome innovation.
