Same with us. Food shopping is a weekly event and an outing. The produce store is the same. For other stuff we may use internet because in a regional are some products are not availabel locally.

Went to see some UK friends last week who live in France and have been here over 20 years they get stuff shipped from the UK. Plus there is a van who drives back each month to stock food to sell at local markets especially for ex pat Brits. They offered us UK sausages couldn’t think of anything worse even the dog turned them down.

There is a lot of talk about the dessert but by that they mean no medical practice in big areas of France. They are offering big incentives to get them out of the city’s and in to empty areas. Plus those that move charge more money when you see them. And you only get the refund from the state afterwards at the original rate not the supplement.

It is like disk space… there can never be enough and the usage will expand to match the supply.

The system in Australia allows you to buy your way to the head of the queue by paying more than the government subsidy to access a medical service. It is entirely unethical, but it works… private services take the load off pudlic services.
